Congratulations on getting The Fischer! Now begins the fun part: your journey to dryness.
Your iontophoresis treatment schedule is broken down into three phases. Although everyone’s body is different and you may require a custom schedule, here are generally recommended guidelines:
Phase one: for the first 2-weeks, use The Fischer every other day for 15-20 minutes. For your initial treatments, don’t be afraid to start at a lower power level and work your way up gradually. It’s important to treat at a level that’s comfortable for you.
After 5-10 sessions, most patients see a noticeable reduction in sweat. Continue treating on the same schedule until you’ve reached a satisfactory level of dryness.
Phase two: after about a month of iontophoresis, you should be experiencing sustained dryness. Now phase two begins where you’ll begin to ween yourself off using The Fischer. Reduce the frequency of your sessions to every third or fourth day for the next week. After that, reduce to once a week.
Phase three: you’re now entering your ‘maintenance schedule’. For most patients, one session per week is enough to maintain dryness. Other patients treat once every 3-4 weeks or ‘as needed’.
